If you try hard enough to figure out how we got here, you may come to the same conclusion that many others have. You may eventually come to realize that our federal government officials, upon arriving in DC are immediately caught up in a system where they find themselves unable to really look out for the interests of their constituents, and instead find themselves under immense pressure to take their marching orders from a powerful group of elites who operate from behind the scenes, in relative anonymitiy. You may have come to suspect that the two major political parties are perpetuated by this group in order to essentially "Divide and Conquer" the people.

RetakeCongress.com is a grassroots organization formed by true patriots that love their country and the principles under which it was founded. These principles are clearly enumerated in the Declaration of Independence, the original Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. We are Mothers, Fathers, Brothers, Sisters and activists. We are not funded by big money and special interests. We are just average, hard working citizens of the United States of America, and members of our global community who want to see real change.

This organization was founded to start removing from office, those elected federal congresspeople who have, for too long, ignored their constitutional obligations. We intend to replace them with true statesman; statesmen who will not only obey our constitution, but who will also make sure to do their part to remind the people of the United States of America of the principles under which this country was founded.

We have also gone a step further than any other political group. Every candidate listed on our web site will be required to sign a legal contract that states, in short, that, should he/she not obey his/her oath to our platform, and their oath to the constitution, THEY WILL RESIGN their seat in the congress.

Our goal is to restore the congress to what it was meant to be; a body full of elected officials that actually work for the people, and not their own personal gain by operating under the influence of elite powers and special interest groups.

If we are to make real changes for the betterment of this country, we all need to work together to make this happen. Please volunteer to help a candidate on this website.
